1. What DeltaLayer is

DeltaLayer is a defensive, view-only domain stack checker. It helps users understand which publicly visible infrastructure and providers are connected to a domain, such as DNS, mail, hosting, CDN and related services.

DeltaLayer only uses publicly observable technical signals. It does not perform port scanning, exploitation, authenticated probing, password attacks, vulnerability exploitation or intrusive security testing.

2. No security audit or legal advice

DeltaLayer is an informational tool. Scan results are not a security audit, compliance certification, legal opinion, penetration test or guarantee of provider classification.

The results may be incomplete, outdated or incorrect. You are responsible for verifying any findings before relying on them.

3. Acceptable use

You may use DeltaLayer only for lawful purposes and in a responsible way.

You must not:

• use DeltaLayer to harass, target or harm others;
• use DeltaLayer for unlawful surveillance or abuse;
• attempt to bypass rate limits or access controls;
• overload, disrupt or interfere with the service;
• scrape, automate or bulk scan at unreasonable scale without permission;
• attempt to reverse engineer, attack or exploit DeltaLayer or its infrastructure;
• submit malicious, misleading or unlawful content;
• use results as proof of wrongdoing without proper verification.

We may block, limit, suspend or refuse access if we believe the service is being misused.

4. Domains and scan reports

When you submit a domain, DeltaLayer may scan publicly visible signals related to that domain and generate a report.

Scan reports may be stored and made available through a unique share link. Anyone with access to that link may be able to view the report.

Do not submit domains or information if you are not comfortable with a report being generated from publicly visible technical data.

5. Accounts and access

Some features may require an account. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account.

We may change, restrict or remove account features as DeltaLayer develops.

6. Availability and changes

DeltaLayer is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, accurate or error-free.

We may change, pause, limit or discontinue parts of the service at any time, including scanner availability, report storage, account features and rate limits.

7. Third-party services and providers

DeltaLayer may identify or link to third-party providers, services or websites. These third parties are independent from DeltaLayer.

We are not responsible for third-party websites, infrastructure, services, statements, availability, security or privacy practices.

Provider classifications, including EU/non-EU indicators, are based on available signals and catalog data. They should be treated as an informational starting point, not as a definitive legal or compliance conclusion.

8. Intellectual property

DeltaLayer, including its design, branding, software, provider catalog structure and product content, is owned by DeltaLayer or its operator unless stated otherwise.

You may not copy, resell, reproduce or commercially exploit DeltaLayer without permission, except where allowed by applicable law.

You retain any rights you have in domain names or information you submit. By submitting a domain for scanning, you allow DeltaLayer to process the domain and related public signals to provide the service.

9. Privacy

Our processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimer

DeltaLayer is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, availability and non-infringement.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DeltaLayer and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, loss of profits, loss of data, business interruption, reputational harm or decisions made based on scan results.

Where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, liability is limited to the amount you paid to use DeltaLayer in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or EUR 100 if you used the service for free.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold DeltaLayer and its operator harmless from claims, damages, losses and costs arising from your misuse of the service, violation of these Terms or violation of applicable law.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to DeltaLayer if you violate these Terms, misuse the service or create risk for the service, its users or third parties.

You may stop using DeltaLayer at any time.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.

Unless mandatory law provides otherwise, disputes will be submitted to the competent courts in the Netherlands.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page.

Continued use of DeltaLayer after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
